Andrew Connor, Bellingham, WA

Tickets $15: 3/11, 3/13, 3/14, 3/15 7:00 PM

Boom tells the tale of sentimental bomb-maker's tangled relations with the calculating denizens of his desperate hometown. Boom first debuted at Bellingham's legendary iDiOM Theater December, 2007. It was created and is performed by Andrew Connor, who is also one-half of physical comedy-theatre duo The Cody Rivers Show.

"In Boom, Connor plays an entire cast of characters ranging from a precocious child to a pair of doddering retirees. Each has a different voice and body and Connor changes from one to the other at a dizzying pace, never blurring the edges. That, in itself, is an astonishing feat and well worth seeing. But the play is also a provocative and funny take on the human penchant for destruction...The only bomb not mentioned is the theatrical variety and this show is in no danger of that." -The Whatcom Independent

James Judd, San Francisco, CA

Tickets $15: 3/1 8:00 PM

7 SINS is a collection of true, fast, and funny stories from the life of writer/comedian James Judd.  It chronicles his early ambition to win his 5th Grade book report competition with My Search for Patty Hearst, and his first job when his working mother paid him to watch The Young and the Restless and then reenact it for her. He relives his varied careers as a forgotten employee of AT&T, where he did nothing for a year, an even shorter-lived career as a dot.com journalist (which led to an insane night with five Chinese billionaires in a Chinese bordello), and as an under-prepared criminal defense attorney representing violent teenage girls, as well as many more strange and always funny stories.

James Judd is an actor, comedian, and comedy writer from San Francisco, CA. He is the creator of 7 SINS and 7 SINS: The Holiday Edition which ran for seven months in San Francisco. He began writing and directing as a member of the famous Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles where he appeared with fellow cast members Lisa Kudow, Kathy Griffin, Paul Ruebens, Julia Sweeney and many more now-famous faces.

Jayson McDonald, London, ON

Boat Load Tickets $15: 3/11, 3/13, 3/14 7:00 PM

Boat Load - Gary Bazman is a fabulous, wonderful actor who only needs a thousand dollars to make his dream of being discovered at a touring arts conference a reality. Also, his cat needs a thousand dollar operation, but that's just way too much money to spend on a cat.

Directed by Jeff Culbert, and created and performed in Jigsaw Method.

From the creator of Giant Invisible Robot, the most destructive solo theatre piece in history.

Giant Invisible Robot Tickets $15: 3/12 8:30 PM, 3/15 10:00 PM

Giant Invisible Robot - Russel is quite a reserved man—introspective, unobtrusive and painfully shy. As a child he had one true—albeit invisible—friend. But Russel’s friend was a little different from other kids’ imaginary playmates…he was a Giant Invisible Robot programmed to destroy. And, unlike other kids who grow up and abandon their imaginary friends, Russel has managed to maintain his friendship with Robot over the years, forming an indivisible bond…even though Russel is continuously frustrated by Robot’s need to destroy whole cities and Robot must constantly suppress his programming to avoid crushing Russel like an ant.

Suzanne Morrison, Seattle, WA

Tickets $15: 3/5 8:00 PM, 3/8, 3/12, 3/15 7:00 PM

When Suzanne Morrison arrived in Bali for a two-month yoga retreat, she thought she was on the path to inner peace and killer abs. She imagined that she would return to the States a changed person, no longer a cynical cocktail waitress but instead, an enlightened being who would “om” into each morning and massage her boyfriend's third eye before going to bed at night. But the universe had other plans for her...

In her hilarious solo show, Morrison explores her attempts to find her Higher Self in a strange world where blenders become possessed by spirits, Prada lust is at a fever-pitch, a milkshake can throw a guru into a rage, and everyone around her tries to make her drink her own pee.

Brought to you by the director of the Off-Broadway hit, 21 Dog Years, Yoga Bitch offers an irreverent glimpse at what can go wrong on the road to enlightenment.

What is a deep fried curried perogy?
Well, if German's are “krauts”, and the British are “Spotted dick”, then Deep Fried Curried Perogies are born when a Jamaican Filipino and a Ukrainian Brit start a family.  In this feisty, comedic memoir, Michelle Todd shares the past of her Filipino mother and Jamaican father who left their tropic homelands behind to bring her into the wonderful non-tropic world of Edmonton, Alberta. This Fringe hit recounts what their collection plate of stories, recipes, heirlooms and hair trauma mean for Michelle and her baby's future. An exploration of what being Canadian means, and one woman's answer to the question, “Where do I come from?”

An Edmonton native, Michelle graduated from the GMCC Theatre program and with her fellow classmates started Edgewise Ensemble (Don Juan in Chicago, Measure for Measure, Talk Radio Stalkers). Other Edmonton Companies Michelle has performed with include Workshop West (Playwright's Garage), Unconscious Collective (Swingin' Without Annette, Trippin'), Theatre Network’s NextFest (Closet Space), and Focus Productions (Tony n' Tina's Wedding), as well as Fringe Festivals in Saskatoon,Vancouver and Edmonton. Michelle has also worked on various film projects while in Edmonton and Toronto.

MonoLodge 4
For two nights only as part of the festival, Unicycle Collective will present MonoLodge 4 -- an evening of diverse theatrical solo shorts. MonoLodge 4 will feature a dynamic mix of local Seattle veterans and up-and-coming talents in the Seattle performance scene:

*Keith Hitchcock - Highly influenced by modern hip hop, Keith Hitchcock uses his controversial technique of Textual Sampling to produce "80sweetnothings," a post-modern / post-Valentine's Day, 80's rock tribute to love gone bad. And good.

*Jennifer Jasper - "Horse Girl." Everyone has known a "horse girl." You may be one yourself.

*Troy Mink - City Councilwoman Teri Dori (one of Troy Mink's many alter egos') fesses up to her most recent incidents of "misbehavior" (being drunk & belligerent in a karaoke bar)

*K. Brian Neel - performs a "Selection from Omon Ra," by Victor Pelevin, adapted by the performer. A Russian cold war epic about a man who must sacrifice his life to achieve his dream of going to the moon, and keep up the ruse of Russia's technological supremacy.

*Becky Poole - "Kitty Poole's One Little Show" features Kitty Poole, the 6 year-old performance artist alter-ego of actor comedian Becky Poole. Join them both in a messy romp through the subconscious. The piece promises monsters, cake, a musical saw, and delectably disturbing dreams.

*Mary Purdy shows us "That Door," a whimsical, twilight-zone-esque short about a woman on a search for seaweed. That Door leads to This Room, but where is This Room anyway?

*Seth Rosenbloom presents "Almighty," eight-hundred and seventy-six words on what the master of the universe really, truly wants from you.

*Mark Siano - "High Times and Misdemeanors." After years of successful stealing, Mark Siano finally gets what he deserves.

*Jenna Bean Veatch Part dance, part monologue, "Dance in One Shoe" tells the strange tale of the demise of one blue and orange sneaker.
